NotSoBig Oil is a small company that grew from a small biodiesel producing co-op. I was offered the opportunity to take over ownership after the other co-op members found they no longer had the time to invest. I accepted and since changed the company from a co-op to a self owned business (LLC, Limited Liability Company) and upgraded the original system to produce more biodiesel.
NotSoBig Oil co-op was launched successfully in October of 1999, achieving its objective of 4 members who participated for use of fuel made. While in the co-op I processed the waste vegetable oil and produced the biodiesel. Since I have taken over ownership the production system has grown from producing 40 gallon batches to producing 250 gallon batches and I have become a sales representative for chemicals used in the production of biodiesel.
NotSoBig Oil's mission is to improve the environment and bring innovative technology and a supply of energy source that will not damage or pollute the environment. Something has to be done now to conserve and work towards a cleaner environment it is our responsibility and our future and the future of our children, grandchildren and generations to come. We owe it to ourselves. We plan to uphold the "Green" initiative with source reduction, waste reduction, recycling, and eventually putting up an all natural "Green" building to house our production system.

Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel produced from domestic renewable resources such as used vegetable oil, animal fats and recycled restaurant grease. It contains no petroleum and is a biodegradable and cleaner-burning alternative to petroleum diesel. It is a renewable, carbon neutral fuel that returns 3 to 4 times the energy needed to produce it back into the environment.
